Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance - MPPI

MPPI has been evolving over the past few years and there are now a number of policies available. Originally they were designed to repay the lender in the event of accident, sickness or redundancy along with a small surplus to meet attaching mortgage costs such as endowment premiums, general insurances etc. They are often confused with both ASU (Accident, Sickness & Unemployment) and mortgage protection policies when the phrase is applied to a life/critical illness policy designed to pay a CAPITAL sum in the event of claim.
